Where PocketCure stands today
As of 30 July 2026, PocketCure is completely free. There are no advertisements, no subscriptions and no in-app purchases of any kind. Every feature is available to every user.
Sections 05 and 06 below describe what would apply if we introduce advertising or paid features in future. We may change our services, pricing and this policy at any time — if we do, we will update the date at the top of this page and tell you inside the app before the change affects you.
01 Information we collect
When you create a PocketCure account we collect the details you give us directly: your name, email address and, if you add one, a profile picture.
We also store the financial information you enter yourself — transactions, accounts, categories, budgets and recurring entries. You type this in; we never read it from your bank, SMS messages or any other app.
If you allow it, the app uses your device's camera or photo library so you can pick a profile picture. Those images are only used for that purpose.
02 How we use your information
Your information is used to run the service and nothing else: to display your data back to you across your devices, generate your reports and charts, and keep everything in sync.
We do not share your personal or financial data with third parties for marketing purposes, and we do not sell it.
03 Where your data is stored
PocketCure works offline. Your data is stored on your own device first, in local encrypted-at-rest storage. When you are online it syncs to our servers so you can reach it from another device or the web app.
All traffic between the app and our servers goes over HTTPS. Our servers are hosted in shared infrastructure operated by Hostinger.
04 Signing in
You can sign in with an email and password, with Google, or with Apple. When you use Google or Apple sign-in we receive only basic profile information — your name, email address and, where provided, profile picture. We do not access any other Google or Apple service or data.
If you choose Apple's Hide My Email option, we only ever see the relay address Apple gives us.
If your device supports it, you can also lock the app behind your fingerprint or face. That check happens entirely on your device — your biometric data never leaves it and we never receive it.
05 Advertising
PocketCure currently shows no advertisements. No advertising SDK is active and no advertising identifier is collected from your device.
If we introduce advertising later, ads would be served by Google AdMob, which may collect your device's advertising identifier and related technical information under Google's own privacy policy. Even then, your financial data would never be shared with any advertising network. We will update this policy and notify you in the app before any ads appear.
06 Payments and paid features
PocketCure has no paid content today — no subscriptions, no one-off purchases, no premium tier. We do not collect any payment information from you.
If we introduce paid features later, payments would be handled by a payment provider such as Safepay, or by Google Play and Apple App Store billing. In every case, card and banking details are entered with the payment provider directly — they would never reach our servers and we would never store them.
07 Security
We use standard protections: passwords are hashed and never stored in readable form, sessions use signed JWT tokens, and all data in transit is encrypted over HTTPS.
No system is perfectly secure, and we will not pretend otherwise. If a breach ever affects your data we will tell you.
08 Your rights and deleting your data
You are in control of your data at all times:
- See and edit it — everything is visible and editable inside the app.
- Export it — Settings has a CSV export of your transactions.
- Clear your data — Settings → Clear All Data removes your accounts, transactions, recurring entries and settings.
To delete your account entirely, email [email protected] from the address you registered with, with the subject Delete my account. We will confirm and permanently remove your account and all associated data within 30 days. This cannot be undone.
09 How long we keep it
We keep your data for as long as your account exists. When you delete your account, your records are removed from our live systems immediately and from routine backups within 30 days.
10 Children
PocketCure is not intended for anyone under 13. We do not knowingly collect information from children under 13. If you believe a child has given us information, contact us and we will remove it.
11 Third-party services
We currently rely on these providers, each with its own privacy policy: Google Sign-In (authentication), Apple Sign-In (authentication) and Hostinger (hosting). Advertising and payment providers are not in use at this time — see sections 05 and 06.
12 Changes to this policy
We may update this policy, and we may change the PocketCure service itself, at any time — including introducing advertising, paid features or subscriptions that do not exist today.
When we do, we will change the date at the top of this page, and we will tell you inside the app before any significant change takes effect. Continuing to use PocketCure after that means you accept the updated policy.
